I have been working in the cosmetic, beauty and fashion industries for over 20 years and have sold for many of the world’s leading brands.In 2010, I started putting together my own company through my website to showcase the culmination of all of the skills, information and knowledge I have learned over the course of my extensive career. I attended Monroe Community College with a focus on a human services degree with a liberal arts basis. Following college, I attended the Continental School of Beauty Culture, graduating in 1994. While I was going to college and beauty school, I worked full time to pay my way through school and to gain experience in the beauty biz. Human Services appealed to me, but after getting a taste of the beauty biz- I knew I had found my true love and passion.
Over the course of my career, I’ve traveled to NYC and across the Northeast for business meetings, beauty seminars and hair shows. I love everything about the beauty biz and there isn’t anything more empowering than helping a client to look and feel their best!
In many instances, clients have dabbled in one area of beauty, but are strangers to other aspects of the beauty world. For example, a client may know how to maintain healthy skin, but have no experience in makeup application. It is a wonderful and gratifying experience to be able to help educate them on how to reach their full beauty potential. There has been no better feeling for me than when a client of mine has acknowledged my work and shown gratitude for it.
I have met some extraordinarily warm and wonderful people throughout my career. My ideal client is everyone and anyone because I believe beauty is ever changing and evolving. I believe we all have the potential to take things a step further and that anyone can reinvent their image anytime they choose to do so, if they have access to the skills necessary to do so. I also believe that inner beauty is the most important trait a person can have.
In my personal life I am a Volunteer National Alzheimer’s Research Advocate. Having been affected personally by this horrible illness when my mother was diagnosed with it at a young age, I feel an endless commitment to helping to propel progress towards new and better medicine. Surprisingly, I’m honored to say I’m quite good at my advocacy work and have been at the forefront of change in America towards renewed interest in Alzheimer’s, as well as other neurological illnesses including ALS, Parkinson’s, and in brain health and general knowledge of the brain. I am proud of this work because I believe a lot of my inner strength is from my great love for my Mom and Dad and my willingness to honor them.
